How do you Insert Mods in Minecraft 1.0.0

Hey Forum today I have a pretty big problem. I am trying to figure out how to insert mods into Minecraft 1.0.0 I went through all the folders in my minecraft folder and there's no place to insert them! If you could help that would be great!

There has never been a place to insert mods, pretty much for simple mods I.e. if they are just pretty much all class files, copy all those class files into minecraft.jar. Which is inside your bin folder, for more complex mods such as mo creatures it is required that some of the files go into the resources folder, hope this helps.

Hey fellas, this could be funny but I have to ask. What is minecraft? I know it's a computer game but what kind of game is it? What is the main purpose?

Ok.
This is going to get kinda complicated, so best grab yourself a coffee.
What you're going to need, is Minecraft, the mod you want, and WinRAR.
Now, what you do is extract the usable files from the mod folder. It might be a .zip format.

Then, you navigate into your Minecraft folder, to the bin folder, then RIGHT CLICK on Minecraft.jar. Select Open With: WinRAR.
This should expand the contents of Minecraft.jar into the WinRAR window.

Then, you DRAG AND DROP the files from the mod folder, into the expanded Minecraft.jar.

WinRAR will say something about overwriting files most likely, so just click yes, i want to make changes.

Then, once all the files are into Minecraft.jar, you can close that window.

Next, start up your Minecraft game. The mod should be installed.
