How to check my ip address

Start > Run > Type "cmd" (without the quotes) and hit enter. The Command prompt opens up, type "ipconfig" (without the quotes) and hit enter.

Edit: If you are part of a network it may not show your external IP address, but your internal (network) address. If you are behind a firewall it may also show a different IP address.

To check your ip settings go to:
Start>all programs>accessories>command prompt> type 'ipconfig' (without quotes)> press enter

:)

lol! Someone always beats me to it

Dragon has the easy way. Mine changes every time I go online because I use my cell phone now. But it tells me what my addy is.

you have two IP addresses.

An internal IP address of your computer you are using on your home network.

An ip address of your router/modem which is the IP address the outside world sees
