ok i have a wireless network setup i have the connection connected wirelessly. it even reads out its connect with excellant strength at 53mbps. but when i try to use explorer or say firefox it wont work. whats goin on.

All thats showing is that you are connected to the network, not that your connected to the internet. Do you have the modem and router configured properly? Do any of the devices work when connected by a wire?

yes if i hard wire it to the router its on, but if i un plug that then it wont surf the internet, but it says im connected.

B/c it just shows that your connected to the network, I am assuming that's XP. Vista shows whether you are just connected locally or Internet or both. That's just the way it is, you are supposed to have more knowledge than the computer anyway:P

Does it work right? Or is this just a rant about XP's connection status? No offense intended by the word "rant".
