Everybody knows how many freakin times we're asked to spec up a gaming rig for different price ranges, whether or not parts are compatible, etc. etc.

If I were to spec up a couple systems, and a guide to compatibility, do you think people would use it and would it actually be posted?
 
It has been tried before but it won't last, trust me. The only way to get it to last is for it to be stickied and the admins/mods don't sticky threads unless they are vital. I am sure it won't hurt to try though.
 
If you are referring to PC hardware and compatibility I hope you have endless hours of spare time to test out each configuration let alone the money to afford all those parts, as well as the ability to clearly and coherently write about it.

That is a ton of work that I don't think any one person can handle and that is why there are computer magazines with people who do this day in and day out as well as web sites to get this to the people of the world.

Perhaps you can start a thread that says post your custom built specs and pros/cons of your build and what issues you found. Then tag it, and if people use the search function it could be used.
