Hey I'm woundering what your opinions are on etheir of these... here are the specs on each.

i would definately go with the sempron. its a way better value processor compared to the celeron. however the top computer is going to get a longer battery life due to the larger capacity battery. how much are these two computers?

shared memory means a certain area which the motherboard has designated for processing images on your screen uses memory from your ram to do the task. for email and websurfing or watching a movie would be sufficient. no games should be played on it.

boots didnt you order a laptop already?

i thought you ordered the 6000 from dell. hm..what is your budget like?
 
Yeah there not looking into a gaming laptop. One to surf the web (wirelessly), aim, music downloads, microsoft word. I was woundering if it would handle it or not. Thanks.
 
Hey a friend of mine is considering geting another stick of ram for the acer. How hard is it to put ram into a laptop?

yes it will perform those tasks. doesnt even take what you have listed to perform those.

a lot of value laptops only have 1 dimm slot. some have 2. and its really easy. just unscrew like 1 or 2 screws. slide the ram right in and you're done.
 
My old Dell Inspiron had 2 DIMM slots...just pop it in and go. VERY easy. easier than in a desktop really.
 
Ok Let me check how many slots it has now...it has 2x Dimm and this one takes up one i think 256MB DDR333. Correct me if i'm wroung becasue it doesn't say 2 or 2x. If so Then I'll get another 256mb to through in there.

yes its only one stick. you can get another stick from www.newegg.com for much cheaper.

if you order from dell, they will put it in for you. but its a lot more economical to order it yourself and install it.
 
Hey I think this will play cs 1.6 becasue my friends laptop is a amd 2800 256 ram and plays 1.6. This will be a amd 3000 512 ram. Like I said I don't have much expeirence with amd.
