Internet problems after new hardware..

Hi, I'm new to the forum, and I've been reading around a bit, and couldn't quite find something that nailed my problem. However, I'm sure someone has had it/seen it.

I've recently burned out my mobo/processor trying to OC, so I bought a new mobo/processor, and used this as an excuse to get myself a new GPU. :D

The problem is, I've gotten everything installed and running, but I cannot access the internet... I get a connection ( I can use my on-board ethernet, or my PCI version ) but when I open a browser (Using Firefox) I gives me the "Server not found" message. I've also tried IE to see if firefox wasn't compatible.

Any suggestions/questions that can help clarify the situation would be greatly appreciated, otherwise, I get to pay to bring it in to a computer shop, and nobody likes to do that.

Thanks,
Alex

Okay first off. I want you to try this
Start -> Run. Then type "cmd.exe"

when the command prompt pops up type "ping www.google.com" if it gives you some results of the ping then you have an internet connection and you should speak to your internet service provider.

If you get no results when issuing the ping command, then there might be a problem with your ethernet cards (unlikely since you have 2) so it may be that your default gateway address may be wrong.

Either way it's best you contact your Internet Service Provider first.
Hope this helps :D
