Is My Windows XP Faulty?

Alright when i was looking through the "Help & Support Centre" I clearly saw that it said Windows XP Home Edition, I purchased Windows XP Pro.

I found this odd so i checked my system control panel, and it said that Windows XP Professional Edition was installed on my system. My computer also boots with the appropriate Windows XP Pro start screen (before the login screen loads.)

With all the other problems i've had (GPedit.msc being missing, and registry copying errors) is it possible that it is in fact XP Home or a faulty version of XP Pro?

Thanks for the input.

It’s faulty. Personally I’d give it another whirl as far as reinstalling goes

Has XP Pro been installed over Personal?
You mean "XP Home"? If that happened (without formatting that is), there will be a bootmanager asking you to pick an OS to boot to :)
