Is this laptop worth buying

Videocard nVidia GeForce GT 540
Videomemory Up to 3793 MB / 2 GB eraldiseisev

I was thinkin to buy it for playing games like
Gta 4 - Bout medium graphs
BF3 - Medium Low
MW3 - Medium High
Minecraft - Maxed
Batman Arkaham City - Medium High
and Source Engine games

I already bought an horrible laptop and i dont want to make more mistakes.
What do you think?
 
Since you are using it for gaming I am a little worried about both the CPU and the Graphics card. How much are you spending it.
 
Hmm that's a nice laptop but it's not really for gaming, you'd probably be able to run your games at low on that machine I'd say. GPU probably isn't good enough, CPU should be OK.

And what about this 1?

You will not like that laptop at all. I had the same laptop with the 380m processor and it was rather lacking on power. It would play pretty much anything, but it was only at medium to low for BC2 and medium solid for MOH. I think you can do better, definately a better brand for that price.

You may be looking at a limitation from the processor, I don't really know though. And in that design, you are going to see some heat from the GPU, some serious heat.

they do not cover for poor design. And the acer 5742g is the one I am talking about. Pretty much anything acer is going to be lacking in design from what I see.
 
I have an Nvidea Geforce gt 240 and it runs skyrim on medium-high? i have the specs in my signature :P its sounds like a good laptop to me!
 
Quality wise better then the ones you listed before, The thing is you are only going to get medium to low graphic on what you are listing. The only one worth the time is the Asus models starting at $1100 plus.
