issue with BF3

Pic is worth a thousand words. I have tried the repair option in Origin, no help. ran sfc /scannow and the files on this install are not corrupt. dxdiag shows DX 10 and no issues found. Really starting to think I wasted $40 for 5 minutes of game play. :(

Ahhh I see EA is at it again! ;)

Your lucky, EA wont even let me download the game and I paid $54.50 for it. I still have to call them about it but Iv been too lazy to look for a number and spend all day talking to machines....
 
well it has downloaded. I had it installed before a screwup with the programming when I upgraded the GPU and CPU. It worked fine on g530 and HD 4870.

But since then, nothing.
 
edit: Installed DX11 from MS KB and it started right up. So note for future users BF3 requires DX11!

Which is odd considering it doesnt use any DX11 features from what I can see. Everything I have seen in that game can be done in DX9, perhaps DX11 is just for performance optimization?

I see no tessellation, and the guy up against the wall has no shadow :p and mostly everything in the game is static or scripted.
 
I can't tell you why, but it does. And it does use DX11 dude. Look at the DX code next to the frames on the screenie above.

Yes I know it does. And since I have got to the level I am now, I have noticed some water on textures, but I do believe that was possible in DX9 I am not 100% sure if its the same thing but the Source engine had a similar effect of water running down like a wall texture.
