Just bought a new 360.

Ok i bought a Xbox 360 premium! lol finally im coming back to console gaming. I was wondering if it would be ok to put it here.....I heard they overheat n stuff. Anyhelp would be great thax :):D

yup, they overheat "and stuff"

if you're lucky it will last you 6-10 months without overheating itself to death and needing RMA'd!!!! how sweet!
 
I don't know much about consoles, but isn't it posible to put a cooler to a Xbox 360?? If it is posible, you should do it...

tut tut... be nice. it does too. it wants to know of the location in the pic is good.

ya, it looks like a good location, just make sure it keeps good ventilation, i.e. dont shove stuff in the shelf that would cut off air flow. if youre really worried about over heating, you could get an aftermarket external fan for it.

teamhex,That looks fine where you have put it..theres space around it and behind it so its getting Ventilation.

I think there is, and im going to pick one up this weekend along with another control. Having fun so far, im knocking that back portion(Wall I Guess?) out so the air can flow through the space.

Thats sweet man. Iv thought of water cooling my PC but....just not worth it from what i heard you have to have a nice water cooled set up to achieve anything good. I was told might as well just get a nice Heat sink and fan.

yeah i think the cheap water coolers are not very good but they do say you get what you pay for so...:D

you could always add some nice quiet fans to the side of the case like where he has the see through window on his 360 if you feel like modding the case a little:confused:

No I cant send them either I dont know why. I cant really ask a mod...sense i cant PM. What would you guys recommend for a Cooler that just attaches to the back. Iv heard nothing but bad things about that Nyko one.

I was wondering, why this expensive console does not include a stock cooler? I mean if it is neccesary, It should include it... shouldn't it???

lol, you would think. actually, they added a 2nd fan to all the new ones. they did it under the radar so they wouldnt get bad press. the only way we found out is cause a guy noticed the 2nd one after he replaced his first 360...for heat failure
 
You should have waited for the new 360's to come out. They won't overheat and die. Two months from now, I'll finally have the new one :D

I see... well... if they don't want bad press, they could call the fixed version "xbox 360 service pack 1", at least that's what they do with their OS...
