laptop harddrive help

Hey guys, my friend has a laptop. She believes its the toshiba satellite pro 6100. She wants to change the harddrive as its too small and is nearing full capacity. So i looked on newegg for laptop harddrives. Would any ATA-6 laptop 2.5" harddrive work on the laptop? Does it have to be a certain rpm? Thanks for replies.

The interface and size are the only things that matter. As long as it fits, it will work

Also, that's the only thing im worrying about, is the interface ATA-6.

Just google for "laptop model" harddrive...and see what comes up.

i googled it up, seems like someone who has a satellite 6100 used a hitachi ata-6 7200rpm harddrive, so im guessing that a 4200rpm ata-6 harddrive would also work.

Yes, it would work, I just wouldn't recommmend it, because 4200rpm is awfully slow.
