Hello guys

First i'm new here so hope i do it right.:-)

I need to shrink a Partition and i know to ways to do so, either through control panel or command prompt, either way it will only allow me to shrink it approx 4gb and only to times, since i tried both ways now. So now i have to new Partition's with 4 gb i cant use for anything. There is more than 100gb free space on the HD, so why will it only allow me to shrink it with 4gb..??

It's a Lenovo S10e

I have another laptop were i have no problems using the same methods...

Ok I assume you have everything backed up.

Rick click on Computer/My Computer and select Manage.

In bottom left tree select Disk Manager.

There you will see the partitions.

By right clicking on them you can do stuff like delete, shrink and expand under most conditions.

If it doesn't have that I would recommend a complete back up and reinstall and start again because you will have to buy 3rd party software to do it successfully unless you're a computer scientist.
