Lock On: Modern Air Combat

Hey,

I just got the demo, the one with the Mig and the A-10 in, It's pretty cool, except I can't last 5 seconds when in the Mig.

I get shot down by the Mirrage in like less that 30 seconds!

Can anybody tell me how to lock onto him and what buttons to press, I know that 2, 3 and 4 are all air-to -air attacks but I can't fire anything.

I can fire the cannon easily enough, but I don't even have the chance to get behind him!

Also, He locks onto me and I release a couple of chaffs or flares (the 'Q' key) and his missle still hits me?

Anybody have any hints, tips or suggestions?

are you flying with the afterburner enabled?
put the throttle down a bit, evade and throw some flares while doing that

I think so, Are the after burners on when you have the throttle all the way forward?

Evade, Simply by rolling and climbing and stuff, and the flares are 'Q', right?

Also, How do I shoot him down, I find it really hard to get behind him and I don't know how to lock onto him?

well... the rockets are heat seeking.. the flares produce heat to distract them, so if you throw them while you're flying on afterburners (the biggest heat productiong) the rocket will ofcourse go for the hottest thing at that moment, so put the throttle down a bit

as for shooting on him, you dont need to be behind him for that, except when youre using the board cannong ofcourse ^^
