make a game console

erm...can you even do that. Perhaps for the X-Box but I know that playstation would require everything exactly how it is (give or take) i doubt making a PS2 would be cheaper and worth the hassle over buying a new onem especially since hte prices haave gone down
 
Do you mean like build a replica of a game consle, or just make one?

I think it would be sweet to build like an XBOX in a computer. with the cd rom coming out of the usuall cd rom place and everything. Then get a vidoe card so what's going out of the xbox is coming into the computer. :cool:
 
Someone said whats the point of making your own, can u imagine the fealing you would have after completing something like that. When you had finished, you could sit down, possibly with a beer and test it out.

I've heard of people modifying the xbox bios/operating system, and installing it on PC.
It's probably worth sticking to PC games and/or buying a console

xBox specs:
Intel Celeron 733 MHz CPU
nVidia GeForce 3MX
64 MB of RAM
8/10 GB hard disk
DVD drive
10/100 Ethernet

i've heard that xBox2 is going to be not much more than a modded xbox1 with a BIOS/OS change

however, putting the xbox BIOS/OS onto a PC is not that easy.
 
i m not sure it might just be rumors but iv heard that xbox 2 xenon or whatever its called is going to have duelie processors and a form of lash absed memory to replace the hard drive so no way is it going to be anthing like the first xbox its not even going to be backwards compatible
