I would like to know if I should get into WoW.
Ive played it for a little, like a trial, and from what I experienced wasnt competitive. Though I guess I was in themain lands and stuff...

Besides the addictive ness, which shouldnt bother me, since I dont get addicted to anything.... I am home during the day and have time for things...

And how will it preform with my system, in the sig.

So....

Let me know if i should go for it.

Thanks

World of Warcraft can run on virtually any system, so, specs aren't an issue.....

Before you get into World of Warcraft, though, put into consideration that you are paying everyday to have your account active, regardless of if you play it or not; that's why it can become so addicting.

I would recommend, that if you do decide to play it, to get the expansion as well so you wouldn't necessarily feel 'left out'.......

i would seriously think about it before getting into it. i didnt think i would get addicted to things before i played WoW....
i have now been playing it for 1.5years nearly non-stop.

its a great game, but you have to make sure you get the best out of your £9 (or whatever) a month without becoming too addicted :p

I wouldn't bother, I know people that have it and they are obssessed with reaching level 60 or something... because then they can walk around and kick people's ass over the internet...

Plus you have to pay for it monthly or something, I don't think it's worth it, better getting into something like Oblivion which is very similair but first person and doesn't cost money every month...

Just my opinion :)

You can if you want. It becomes really addicting especially as you get into the higher levels. It's a really fun game but you have to pay $15 monthly and it's really time consuming.

DO NOT play WoW. Unless you dont mind wasting money, having no life, and becoming obsessed with it :P

Where have I heard "I dont get addicted to anything".......................Oh yeah my brother said the exact samething before he started playing WOW. He now averages about 8 hours or so a day on it. I;m constantly filtering his MAC to keep him off of it and when he cant get on he gets ripped to the teeth at me, but the truth is it is for his own good. So before you start WOW I would REALLY think long and hard about it

You wouldn't necessarily have to play it everyday to fully benefit from your money; they have a 'resting' system that temporarily increases how much experience you get. But it's definitely not really a game where you can stop for a few weeks and then pick it up again.

My suggestion, if you don't want to hassle with credit card payments, is to buy a 'game card' that pays for 90 days of game play. Although, if you truly get tired with the game, using a credit card allows you to stop payments monthly so you're not obligated for the full 90 days.

World of Warcraft is a great game and really only gets its image of being addicting from those few people who truly do play 24/7. Although I played it everyday, I only spent a few hours on it at a time which would, otherwise, had went into play other video games. Its also not much of a money issue either if that money, otherwise, was going into other video games.

a few of my friends started playing it and they havent had girlfriends since or the time to go outside. they sometimes ditch my other friends just for WoW. it is not worth the money, with the $15 a month you could save up for a new upgrade. my friends waste their allowance on this, its sad. and when that expansion came out within 2 weeks my friend reached level 70. SO sad.

i actually agree with that, even though i play it. its has totaly wrecked my social life and its even started to affect my college work. and im running out of money *cries*

haha on the tyra banks show the husband went home to play WoW while his wife was in labor and missed the birth of their child. so tyra shredded the cd but too bad you dont need the cd to play WoW. funnaaayy.

i do not have any experience with WoW... but i do play a similar game in City of Villains... i enjoy the game, im a comic book fan soo COV is right up my ally... but the biggest problem with it, and i believe games like WoW... is that the game is sooooo REPETITIVE! its the SAME THING OVER AND OVER... character development is the one thing that really is different.. and that is pretty much repetitive. its almost like nothing really means anything in the game... although i do enjoy it, i do spend about 1-2hrs a day playin the game... wish i could put that time towards school work, friends, life in general.. but u kinda get hooked on becoming the best in the game... out doing the other players... pretty sad...

Please dont get into WoW. Waste of time, money, etc. Not an especially good game, either.

could you please prove it with facts? because what you say is merely your oppinion. weither something is a waste of time and money, thats something everyone has to make up for him/herself. and if its a good game or not, you may not like it, but there are plenty of people who say otherwise.

tell me, whats the difference between playing 3hours counterstrike a day, or playing 3hours WoW a day? sorry, but both seem to be equally pointless to me. (same with all video games if you put it that way)

dont get me wrong, I dont mean to attack you, its just, everyone will have his/her own oppinion about it. :)

I dont believe the original purchase is a bad thing, as that pays the people who made the game. But Blizzard makes something like a BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR off of WoW, which is not justified. As for a waste of time, if you play six ours a day, that is a waste of time. I spend two hours a day on my computer on weekends and dont get on during the week, so i consider that a waste of time. As for it not being an especially good game, it is just the same as every other MMORPG that has come out recently. I dont know why it has caught on so much, as it really is not any different than any other one out there. Mediocre graphics, same kind of quests, etc. If you could play it for free after you bought it, i would not have so much against it.

I say don't do it! I have several friends that have fallen to the gravy train that is WoW. They all have no social lives, they all have gotten fat and lazy, and all they do in their spare time is play a video game. Seriously, go out side, play baseball, meet other people your age, get some freaking exercise, read a book, and have fun. I am not saying don't play video games, I am just saying don't let it run your life.

Ever see the Southpark episode about WoW?

The real world is much greater than any virtual world.

Another testimony to my argument.
