The highest I've seen was from Apple (one of there latest desktops) but I'm sure there's higher spec stuff

well i went on the alienware website and tried to make the ultimate computer setup. So ive worked out that my dream computer would cost about AU$10,000.

Dell Precision, came out at £50,000 I think, had about 64GB RAM, Quadro, Several Terrabytes of space and 2 Xeons.

Well here is the most expenseive computer in the world ever, and currently.

I have personaly built $15k (15,000) desktops for video professionals before. Guy wanted 4 of them, so it ended up being about $60k for the four work stations.

I am sorry I didnt make this clear, I was talking about normal computers built for a single person, not super computers.

But for all persons interested in super computers you should go to the website http://www.top500.org/ they have info about supercomputers, and have a list and specs of the BEST 500 supercomputers running in the world.
