ms paint error

i have been using ms paint untill this week . i am now getting the following error at every attempt to either open the programme or open any saved document :- invalid page fault in module mfc42.dll at 0177:5f409eb ,followed by byte numbers . can any one point me in any direction to fix it . i am not a boffin so if its a biggy tell me please.

Simple things don't break very often, and paint is a VERY simple program.
The .DLL mfc42 is probably corrupted, and those byte numbers are probably hex for what actual part of it is corrupted. Try replacing it. I.E. go to another computer of the same OS, find it, copy it, andthen replace it with the one on your comp. Normally such swaps work perfectly, much better than editing the programming.
