Well, you'll have to open it up and have a look. With cooling you could change the stock fans, put in a better CPU HSF or even use watercooling if you have the cash and knowledge, but Dells are going to have there limits.

better cpu cooling can be good for the life of a computer, it will most likely help, it can't hurt. that's a pretty good computer, even for a dell. probably cost a pretty penny.

i just looked around the website and found it. i went over all the different specifications, only thing i could reccomend right away is a new vid card, everything else is fairly good considering its from dell.

That depends if it has the proper slot. If it's PCI, (which sucks for gfx in the first place), then it'll work, if it's AGP, you'll be SOL, as all new boards from dell ship with PCI-Express x16 slots.

it is a PCI card

pci................thats not to great, but if your new dell comes with a pci-e, then I would suggest a 7600gt if you are a gamer.

If you can afford it..., but that PCI card will work then. However, be aware, that some cheaper shiping OEM machines ship with PCI only mobos, so PCI may be the best option.

If you just want it to run effecently, you could buy some microsinks and put them all over, and buy some ram sinks for the RAM and video card RAM, and you could upgrade the CPU heatsink and fank, and add some case fans.
