better cpu cooling can be good for the life of a computer, it will most likely help, it can't hurt. that's a pretty good computer, even for a dell. probably cost a pretty penny.linkman said:i dont want to go crazy but i just want it to run as efficiently as possible

burnitdown said:thats acctually quite cheap, and where did you get a dell that isnt a dual core?
burnitdown said:i just looked around the website and found it. i went over all the different specifications, only thing i could reccomend right away is a new vid card, everything else is fairly good considering its from dell.
burnitdown said:linkman what kinda of graphics card, theres many different models and it may not fit into your dell
jp198780 said:you can download the drivers. just go on the manufactureres site.
Why?linkman said:my friend told me about that but i would still like the box and the disk
That depends if it has the proper slot. If it's PCI, (which sucks for gfx in the first place), then it'll work, if it's AGP, you'll be SOL, as all new boards from dell ship with PCI-Express x16 slots.linkman said:in our old computer which im currently using until the dell arrives we have an ati radeon graphics card that I plan on installing in the dell

If you can afford it..., but that PCI card will work then. However, be aware, that some cheaper shiping OEM machines ship with PCI only mobos, so PCI may be the best option.wicked859 said:pci................thats not to great, but if your new dell comes with a pci-e, then I would suggest a 7600gt if you are a gamer.
Thats not even.....remotly true.SC7 said:That depends if it has the proper slot. If it's PCI, (which sucks for gfx in the first place), then it'll work, if it's AGP, you'll be SOL, as all new boards from dell ship with PCI-Express x16 slots.
