My PC restarts while I shut it down!!

My PC resatrts while I shut it down. I have crossed the automatically restart option in system properties but the problem still exists. I have Win XP pro. Any suggestions??

Maybe you didnt understand what i said the first time.... "What type of computer do you have?" .... "What are it's core components?"
