Need a game recommendation

L.A. Noire is very cool, but it got kinda old for me about a third of the way through it. If you like GTA but want to do something that's a little different, try Saints Row III. The gameplay and storyline are awesome, and you can customize your guy to look like anything you want. Right now mine looks a lot like Dr. Manhattan from The Watchmen, but with a long, black ponytail.

I like a lot of the same games you do - I like a lot of skating games, but I do have an affinity for Tony Hawk, especially American Wasteland. Not a fan of Gears of War, and I'd rather play my black and white Gameboy than log in to Call of Duty and get sniped over and over again.

Far and away, my top favorite games lately have been Skyrim, Saints Row III, and Assassin's Creed II, Brotherhood and Revelations. Assassin's Creed Revelations is one of my favorite games I've ever played. The opening cinematic blew my mind and the gameplay kept it up.

Another game worth considering is Alan Wake. I never played it, but the sound is made by Poets Of The Fall, one of my favorite bands, and I've been dying to try it. It looks awesome, and the mechanics are not very common, so you won't feel like it's just an average game. Look it up .

Very good plot, I thought it was pretty linear for a "free roam" game, but then again just about any storyline in a game is. It is a great game, a lot of fun though slightly short

free roaming gaming often have a shite story, take Just Cause 2, the story was pretty meh but the game is amazing :P however prototype had a shit story and i got pretty bored with the game so i guess it varies with the game

I played one dlc, and it was awesome. Unfortunately i burnt myself out on the game so didnt play the dlc all that much. That said what i did experiance it was a lot more atmospheric. (not sure what the dlc was, it came with the game :P)
