I have points I have to use up with Sears by today or they will expire. I don't have a lot of choices with this company but I do need a desktop computer for my business. I don't do anything special, I just use Outlook, Word, PaperPort and I do use the Internet all day long to do my business. I also use YouTube and video streaming quite a bit. I know this desktop is probably overpriced ($479) compared to building one myself but I was hoping the forum could tell me if it's a decent desktop and will it do what I need to do at a good speed. Thank you in advance. Frank

Additional information on the above computer: CybertronPC Borg-Q AMD FX-Series 4-Core FX-4130 3.80 GHz w/ NVIDIA GeForce GT 610, 8GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, Windows 10 Home 64-Bit. Please note: it's called a gaming system but I don't play games on the computer.

CPU is a piece of garbage. GPU is a piece of garbage. Hardly a gaming computer by any stretch of the imagination. It'll be fine for office use.
Price is absurd. CPU is from 2011 (and was junk even then).

How many points are we talking?

I wouldn't buy that system personally unless the points bring it down to like $100

I as I mentioned before, I know it's overpriced but I have to use the points today and my only other option would be to purchase other overpriced items from the Sears website but I really only need a computer. Let me ask my question another way. Is this system equal to or better than my existing system? (see below)

Processor: AMD phenom II x4, 955 processor 3.20 GHz
installed memory : 4 GB
64 bit operating system
motherboard: bio*: TA870u3+ AMD 870 atx ddr3 1333 am3
Window 7 Pro

Thank you Frank

CPU wise there is actually a negative difference. The new CPU has an inferior IPC to your current CPU.
RAM wise it has more, but that's not hard to add to your existing machine.

If you want to get a real upgrade, you should be looking at a machine with an i5 CPU and 8-16GB of RAM. Also an SSD would be very helpful.
