I have 3 builds to compare, can you guys help me choose which of the three best fits my usage? I need your expertise on this one. The sky is the limit for the comments and suggestions.. Thanks guys.

I'm not into gaming, do I still need a graphics card?
I will be using the build for file processing specially I'm in to programming.

Since you are not gaming, video card not needed

3rd choice is the best.

AMD SEMPRON 140 - single core, out of consideration
E5800/ G6950 are similar speed. G6950 is prefered as LGA 1156 is a later socket. Higher upgradability in future.

PSU - What brand is that? I recommend you get a quality branded PSU

IF you are doing alot of file processing and mulitple tasks, might I suggest an AMD 6 core build? Many motherboards for AMD Have standard onboard video cards perfect for your usage, plus amd six cores are known for their multi proceessing capabilities. Also if your doing files i suggest alot more HDD than that. Maybe a 1.5 tb Western Digital Black series HDD? But also consider this, if you would use it, buying a video card means you could set up more than one screen and have files on one screen as you work on the other

Ok. I see. Then +1 for the third choice.:good:

PSU and AVR is the same right? If yes, it is the one that comes with the casing.

I searched for the price of AMD 6 it is way over my budget. I forgot to mention my budget is just about $350.

As of my level this time as a programmer, I don't think that much of HD space is needed.

About the video card, you have a point:good: What kind of video card would it be if we refer my 3rd choice of build?

to all:
thanks for the replies and suggestions.

AMD onboard graphics will run 2 monitors. All the HD 4xxx igp series, 785/880/890 G chipet, have about the same performance. I suggest 880G mb(HD 4250).

Ok. Saw the mb and price, it's much more pricey than the mb used in the 3rd build option. But if using the 3rd choice and I will buy a video card and it will just sum up with the mb you suggested I would probably consider it but I would also change the processor right?

Sandy Bridge or the AMD series I listed have good integrated graphics for the use you describe.
You could go with a lessor Intel + GPU, but with no out of pocket for GPU and the saved/unspent $ from the 750w that's overkill even with the 460gpu,,,you could get newer tech. Could be $200 diff.

These 3 builds, they're prebuilt, yes?

What do you mean 'with no out of pocket'?

So if I choose to buy any of the AMD mb you listed, what processor will I use? With the same or about the same specs with the Intel® Pentium® Processor G6950 3M Cache, 2.80 Ghz?

edit:
the 1st and 2nd options are prebuilt and the 3rd is my own idea

Cool. I will look into it. I will try to adjust the build and post back here. Thanks sir Benny Boy!:good:

btw, the mb's you suggested has an intergrated video card that supports dual monitor right? or I still have to buy a video card to support dual monitor?

A dedicated video card is not required to run dual monitors with 880G/HD 4250.

There's 3 connectors for monitors on the I/O. Can run 1 or 2. Pretty sure it's the DVI and HDMI for 2 monitors(depends on your monitors)since about the only diff is one cable carries sound and the other doesn't. You may need a certain cable or adapter.

Now I get what you mean:cool: but on the spec. of the Intel® Desktop Board DH55PJ it supports VGA and DVI-D. But you're suggesting that the AMD 880G mb (HD 4250) has better quality output than the Intel® Desktop Board DH55PJ?

Aside from one having HDMI and one not, AMD's IGP has been better up to Sandy Bridge.

yhhhmmmm HDMI is a plus though. Now if I would use the mb and processor you suggested, the only thing now is their availability in my country:rolleyes:

Will the 500w PSU enough for this mb and processor? I mean the whole build
