What about a game basted on say COD but using bows and arrows with swords for close in fighting,big catapults for long distance fighting.What do you think.
 
erm :/ dont think the market would be big enough

and besides i thought that was what elder scrolls was? :s sort of

how would you go about unlocks etc?
 
hmmm, i personally like the idea i just dont know how you would vary the weapons

theres only so much you can do with a bow and arrow lol

maybe you could have an old school crossbow for snipeing?

are you planning on maiing this or just a discussion?
 
I agree it is limited because each team would have bows, then it turns into something like Age of Chivalry, however, what about a cowboys and indians type of game. You can still have your arrows and spears, but you have basic guns, and could implement other types of weapons too
 
^^^ i definately like it, you could make the arrows have different stuff on the tips like explosives, fire, poison all that sort of tsuff.

if your not going for realistic i suppose you could throw a bit of magic out there

staffs and lightnings always does it for me
 
I just thought instead of guns or magic,everybody had bows and arrows,knifes,spears but play as a single person like in CoD4 or any other FPS.You could still play as a team but fight as you would in other games.Does this make sense.

That was good.If it was without the dragons and stuff just people fighting each other using said weapons.
