was thinking about buying this just curious what you all thought and btw

is this free roam like the previous nfs?

It's a very good game. Has the same NFS feel that the rest do and of course with the improved graphics but personally don't look into it as a game that will keep you occupied for a long period of time. It's very fast to complete with little else to do after you have apart from drive around.

Yes you can do free roam. I would suggest you rent it because it is such an easy game to beat in it's entirety. Unless you like having games like that laying around a week after you buy it.

Yeah, Carbon is a bit short for my liking, I borrowed off my cousin so yeah. The format is very much like the previous need for speed games with very much improved graphics and effects.

dude, i have it for Wii and i love it!! i chaged the control so that the analogue stick controls the car and tilting the wiimote up and down controls the throttle, just like a gas pedal. it works so much better than a regular controler. anyhow, its a must buy for all platforms.

i started my career in Carbon but then i quit, dunno why i hate that game and yes you can free-roam (already said a dozen times)

can u not sell your cars in nfs carbon to get cash in career mode? like u could in the previous nfs's

Yes you can. Can't quite remember how it worked in the previous versions but if you upgrade the hell out of a stock car (say you pay about 100,000 for the stock car) and add about 300,000 upgrades. When you sell the car, you lose all the upgrades for it and only get around 75% of the price for the car at stock in return. If I remember rightly.

Sell all the aftermarket parts seperately, then sell the car ;)

I don't usually complete games, i simply mess around with them, but i completed carbon in 2 days, you should probably rent it.

i got it on psp (well carbon: own the city). It gave me something to do in the car on the way to work (half an hour) and finished it in 2 weeks ish (of mostly just half an hour a day) It's alright, fun to start with but as the others have said it's pretty short and there's really nothing you can do except drive around aimlessly and run away from police cars. It looks good though, the graphics are definately better, even on a psp
