No Sound!!!

hey guys,
after reInstalling windows xp professional the sound had some problem installing (I lost the CD for it so i downloaded of the net)
Please help.
I think my sound card is Sis 7012
or something like it.
how can i check it?

To Check it go to device manager, start/right click my computer/properties/Hardware/Device Manager

I'm having sound problems myself too, and I also reinstalled XP Professional about 2-4 weeks ago. MIDI works only in Guitar Pro 5 and no sound in Google Video or any Flash animations.

you may need to find a driver for your sound card

In device manager sound is dead
I Have the drivers. But in the installation a pop up with a number comes up and
another pop up comes up saying I need plug&play
