Normal ambient temperature?

Is your house normally 95 degrees? What ambient temperature are you talking about exactly?

The temp inside the computer case.. But it is also the same for the CPU. So its good?

Also..While your on, is 54C a normal temp for a processor running at 100% usage ?

54 degrees is very good for a processor running at 100%. Depending on the processor, you should generally keep it under 70 degrees.

they seem absolutely normal to me. Depending on your components, 65-70*C is about the max I would allow. I have gotten hotter on my laptops, but that has caused thermal damage before.

Yes 54 degrees is normal at full load - especially those old Northwood P4's.

Well, I had a prescott..and it ran even hotter..it would be like 47 doing web browsing. And then at full load, 54..only becuase when the cpu hits 54, the fan kicks into a higher speed.. which one is better? Precott or northwood? Is there a noticable difference? What temps can the northwood handle?

They both suck in this day and age :P

But seriously those temps are normal. If you are concerned, look up the max temp for your model of CPU and/or buy a better CPU cooler.
