Ok, I have never OC'ed before, but the MOBO manual says that you can just choose the speed you want in CPU level up and the MOBO does the rest for you. The problem is that I did this and I keep getting failures, does anyone know how this feature works? Or am I going to have to do it the way it has always been done by changeing freq, ect, ect?

that's the auto oc asus uses for people who like to oc but don't feel like learning properly how to oc.
it's a crappy crappy feature. haven't found one mobo where it has worked.
want my advice? read up on the oc'ing 101 in the cpu's and overclocking board, and just oc it manually.

I don't know about all that...my friend has the Asus Maximus Formula SE, and his "auto oc" works just fine.

It works to an extent, but it doesn't do a good job of controlling the memory timings and voltages. Manually overclocking is much better.

Anyone got any links on how to OC this MOBO manualy. Sorry I have read the stickies, but there is a whole different setup going on here and I am not the most experienced when it comes OC'ing. Thanks:)
