whats everyones thoughts?

i was dissapointed with dragon risingm but thislooks promising

i never played any of the previous ones so im not sure what the heritage is like

so is it worth a look in or... should i pass
 
yeah i heard dragon rising was dreadful arnt flashpoint games made by bohemia interactive? same people as arma 2. I would just get arma 2 and operation arrowhead if I were you they are brilliant games.
 
i dunno the third person bit doesnt really tickle my fancy, how does it play though, and does it have jets (i dont think dragon rising does but if arma does im there)
 
The new operation flashpoint games are made by Codemasters, who ironically, suck at coding AI and general stuff in these games. But then again, the AI in ArmA has NFI how to drive :P

i dunno wether to get red river, or get arma 2 as arma 2 is much, much cheaper.

I would go with ArmA II + ArmA II OA on Steam. It's like $45 for both and separate they are like $40 each. I hope your computer is up to the challenge though, I can't even max out the games without getting lag, though that is mostly the fault of the trees in the game. They cause huge lag.

If you buy either: Make sure to go into settings and disable mouse smoothing. It gives the illusion of a laggy game but it's really just horrid mouse smoothing that causes input lag.

Dragon Rising looked promising too...
 
arma 2 isnt third person you can have it third person but its mainly first, you can point your gun in one direction and look around so its mainly focused on first person
 
ahhh thats cool,

@linkin i dont think i would get close to maxing it out haha, my pc would probably stick the v's up and shit on my floor :P

saying this i may get em they look temp[ting, i cant get em on steam though i only have 15gb of downloads a month :P but good thing is its like 20 quid for both in some places over here :D
