I got a new computer that uses windows 7 and am having difficulty importing pictures the way I need them to be imported. I need to be able to change the name of the picture and its number during import. I used to use Picture Project, but it won't work on Windows 7. When the pictures are imported I need them to be named DSCN and then a number starting at 20,000. For example the imported photos would be DSCN 20,000 and then DSCN 20,001 and so on. Is there another program or feature I can use to do this? Thanks!

Don't use the Nikon program, let Windows do it for you. Import to a temporary folder, windows will in future recognise your camera connection and depending on your initial settings will go straight to the folder you designated. If necessary rearrange by date, select all, rename the first one DSCN 20000 and all subsequent photos will be renamed +1
