Playing Resident Evil 1 for PC Problems!!!

i recently got RE1 for PC and it requires windows 95.

So i set its compatibility for win95...

now the problem is, when i go to install, it comes up with an error, i use task messanger to end it, then i can install it...but then, i get 5 seconds to install it or it shuts itself down...

So how do i make it so i can install it? because i dont have enough time to install it (i only got 5 seconds >_>)...

I've attempted this with older games when they've refused to install and it's worked; Boot into safe mode and install there.

What do you mean? You said when you attempt to install it comes up with an error.

Well yes, but i can only see that an error is running in task manager, i can't see what it says.

Odd. Well Then i guess the problem lays in the disc/data or some interfering Software on your PC. (or it's just being a bitch, it's happened with me when using old apps.)

Does the entire system shut down upon error, or is it just the installation? If the computer stays on then go to Control panel<administrative tools<event viewer. The relevant logs should be under application or system. You are looking for anything regarding the install, errors or otherwise..

I think such games are designed for playstation console not for pc ,because if you want to enjoy the game you should try it using the dual-shock hands not keyboard.
