PLEASE HELP...losing all my hair!

I installed a plug n play external Hard drive (usb 2.0). small icon bottom right shows hardware is installed, but the storage device is not showing up in My Computer, like I assumed it would:mad: . I've checked it in device manager, and it says is working properly. My dilemma...how do I access this wonderful new 250GB that I thought were plug n play? what am I missing here?
 
Right click on my computer and go to MANAGE. Go to disk management, and see if the drive is listed there. If it is, assign a drive letter(right click on it)
 
=o when I read the title is was thinking you actually was losing hair :o

but yes, The other one's suggestion should work here :)
