power prob radeon 9800 pro HELP!!!

I have a radeon 9800 pro card. When i plugg it into the power supply i get absolutely nothing when i try to turn it on. I have tried having the cables every which way but to no avai. I even bought a new power supply thinking mine might not be powerfull enough to run it. Please help,i am at the end of my teather!!! :mad xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There is the possibility the card simply doesnt work; can u try it on another machine? :)
