Prey Demo Problem

When I try an Prey demo I'll click the icon then after atleast 5 minutes it will just start to run, also the levels take forever which makes single as well as multi play very dissapointing. Does anyone know a way to fix this problem? I haven't experienced problems like this with any of my other games and my system isn't that bad (Pentum 4 3 ghz, 2 gigs of 400 mhz ram, 7600 gt oc). Please help me out I can't figure it out...
 
Dump it! Simply dump it! Since it's only a demo get rid of it since it's having problems. You can always download another demo in case you saw a bad install the first time. A demo is simply there to give you an idea of what the game is like and nothing more. For a good working game you simply go out and buy the full version. There you have tech support available.
 
alrite thanks but I really want to test out the multiplay portion becfoire I go out and by the game. Last time I tried I waited an hour before the level loaded and then got a connection failed error ... :(
 
The demos will only go so far mainly in the brief single player mode. The real support comes when you get logged on with the full retail version. I presently am going through the game now after a fresh install on the Vista drive here and it runs better then Half Life 2's Episode One where a couple of spots saw crashes. HL2 goes through entirely without a single glitch. The Collector's edition is still seen for $59.95 however.
