Problem manually deleting Autocad MEP 2010.

Hi All,

This has been driving me nuts today, :mad::mad:

last night I tried to load Autocad MEP 2010 onto my work computer which was working fine until the last bit, where my machine told me there was not enough room on my disc, so I cancelled the install.

The next morning when I got in, I cleaned up my hard drive to make some space and tried to upload it again. This time I was told the software was already installed, so I tried to open it and it failed, so I tried to uninstall the software but that would not work either. I ended up trying to manually remove it (Maybe a mistake) but it still will not load, as it still saying that I have it installed. I have deleted everything from my hard drive that I can find and the register but it still will not work.

Any help would be great.:):)

Many thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the info, but it still will not work. One thing that I have noticed is that the program is still shown in Add and remove programs but it has not got the button change/remove button. This is driving me around the bend. Please Please help.

Cheers

Hi all,

I have now tried everything that has been said in the threads ( Thanks for all your help) but it still not working, it just will not let me load the software.

Just to clarify, when I try and load up the software there is a tick box which is just greyed out and I can’t install the software until I can tick that box.

Many thanks for any help

I've encountered a similar problem with AutoCAD MEP 2011. Long story short, there is a registery key for AutoCAD MEP 2010/2011 under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Classes -> Installer -> Products

I don't have the exact numbers but it should be apparent when you look through them, it should say AutoCAD MEP 2010 somewhere in the registry key. I just deleted the folder and it allowed me to reinstall the program. I would recommend deleteing all of the files that have already been installed before reinstalling just to get as clean of an install as possible. Of course, this is at your own risk but it has worked for me.
