Problems with Windows Video Files

HI,
I have problems running Windows Media Video File using Windows Media Player. The images appear but the colour resolution is erratic which appear in green, red blue etc. It was running fine last time. However the problem started after I reinstall windows and some software due to OS problems last month.

Furthermore, whe I run tvants programme (an PC online cable tv program), the images appears but the colours are erractic as well which makes the movie/progarm not visible.

I have updated my display adaptor driver and reinstall Media Player but the problem persists. HELP, please.
Can anyone assist, please.

Since you said you freshly reinstalled you OS, have you reinstalled the latest firmware for your video card? Also, it might be a codec missing since you wiped your computer. So, what is your video card and have you installed any codecs as of yet?

If not, K-Lite is a good one.

I am using ATI Radeon X700 and have tried to update the drive online. Problem persists. However, I dun think I came across the codec download.. how do I ensure I have done it or have it..

If you don't recall it after reformatting your drive, chances are you didn't. It might of been the codec being outdatted or the wrong one, so give it a try.

Hi, may I know where can I download the Windows Media Player 9 Codec?

Tried a few website and download hbut problems in viewing cable programmes via tvants (which uses Media Player 9) still persist.
