PS3 Disk Scratched

For xbox 360, i know that if your game disk is scratched, you can borrow a friend's game (ex: Call of Duty Black Ops) and download that to your harddrive. Then you put the scratched disk in and the game will work perfectly. But is there an option similar to this for PS3. If my game is scratched and it gets stuck every 2-3 minutes, can i somehow get it back working again?
 
you could repair the disk.. i know here in aus ( not sure were you are) our video stores repair disks and works well afterwords

+1 most video game stores in the states also have those disk repair machines. Have you tried the old peanut butter trick? I remember back in the ps1 days we'd spread peanut butter on the disk and use a cloth to buff it. Don't do this without checking other information, this is just what I used to do. I don't know if it works with blu rays.
 
hmm haven't herd of the peanut butter method before, i know there is a cream you can buy that you use on disks and wipe it off it fills the scratches
