if what im about to talk about is forbidden here, im sorry and plz delete it.I have a PSP-3001 firmware 6.31 and was wondering if there was a way for me to downgrade it to firmware 5.03? i know i need the service battery to put it in service mode.any advice or links to where i can get this information would be awesome.

Don't think you can legally downgrade a PSP. Soo... the answer would be to google.

It is legal to downgrade, but you can't downgrade from 6.31.

And it is a bit of a grey area on the forums and everywhere else as Sony don't disallow it, but don't really like it, so I really would not be surprised in the slightest if the thread gets closed

You need a pandora battery to do it. Can't just download an old version of a firmware and "update".
