yesterday i OC'ed my x700 pro, and im currently at a core clock of 508.5 mhz from 425.00 mhz and my memory clock is at 522.00 mhz from 432.00 mhz (not a big oc). all has gone well, half life 2 works like a charm on full settings now at a res of 1920X1200, while scanning for artifacts, well, i havnt gotten any.

and now to my question, it was at about a core clock of about 520 with a memory clock of about 535, and the fuzzy graphic on the side started to get all these yellow triangular chunks, i turned the clock down and they went away. so i turned it up a bit so i was getting the chunks and i went into hl2 and it worked fine, and i did a scan for artifacts (30 minutes, long enough?) and nothing came up. have i reached my max OC, or is it just something wrong with ati tool, or should i just not worry about it? it doesn't happen at my current clock speeds.

thanks, palidon.

It happens sometimes. You can most definately see artifacts in the screen during a test, but ATI Tool doesnt seem to see them. But, they are still artifacts.
