Question on Fans

HI I was wondering if it is possible to put a fan in a computer without connecting it to the motherboard.

If you can what would you connect the fan to?

(I know it sounds like a stupid question)

Usually they can be connected to the Power Supply . If your fan only has a three pin connector then you'll need an adapter from a 3 pin to molex connector to be able to connect to the PSU.

Power supply.

Connects to a 4pin molex, and has one on the other end. Don't lose any plugs.
