Recording Xbox 360 Gameplay help?

Hello,

Recently I've been looking into recording my Xbox 360 gameplay to upload to YouTube just for some extra fun. I've been searching on ways to do it, and the Hauppauge HD PVR seems to be pretty much the most recommended item to use. Even though it is expensive, I'm willing to put up with that if I can find out a few things first. All help is greatly appreciated.

1. I'm far from being 'computer savvy' and therefore don't understand much about specs and all that. I was looking at the minimum specs for the HD PVR and the specs for my computer, and well, simply got confused. I'm using a Compaq Presario CQ5700Y Desktop computer with all the basic/default functions and what not. Will this desktop be good enough to record with using the HD PVR?

2. How would you go about setting up a surround sound system along with the HD PVR? Considering you have to use Component hookups for the PVR and I've never used Component and don't want to sacrifice possible audio quality along with using it.

3. Does the gameplay on your TV still look the same as when using an HDMI Cable while plugged into the PVR? Again, I ask this simply because I've never used Component cables and don't want to sacrifice the HD while playing my game just to make the video look better.

I can't help you with the surround sound, but I can tell you that your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements that this PVR has posted. It recommends a dual core CPU with at least 2GHz, and you have a singlecore CPU at 2GHz. You're also using integrated graphics, and by looking at the rest of the computer, I don't think it has the 256mb that is also listed in the requirements.

As for the HDMI/Component cables, the component cables are still HD, but the HDMI is noticeably more clear.
