RTS suggestions

I was hoping for some suggestions on some really good RTS games (pc). I used to play the original warcraft games (1,2 and 3) i really enjoyed Age of the empire games and I played the first Empire earth. I never really got into starcraft. are there any RTS games that have come out recently that are really good?

I've heard good things about Company of Heroes. I have no personal experience with it though. If you're on Steam they have a free demo.

I never liked RTS games, since I could never really get into them. I recently got a beta invite to StarCraft 2 and absolutely fell in love with it. I never played SC1 or any other RTS really for that matter. I loved it so much I preordered it and plan on picking it up next week.

If there's a way, I'd try out SC2 if you can. Just since it's apparently much different than the first.

Good suggestion. Starcraft II is supposedly an RTS that will appeal to people who aren't necessarily RTS fans.
