Will a e6600 have the same performace in games as the q6600?
currently it should, but when games begin to utilize quad cores, the q6600 will obviously be superior.
if the difference is only $50 i'd go with it.
hell, now you have me thinking of getting one.
There are more and more games being released that support Quad-Core. Supreme Commander, for example, supports Quad Core CPUs without the need for any patches.
If the difference is only $50, I wouldn't even consider the E6600. The Q6600 is a much better investment in the long term.
I thought it was this qaurter's price cut that was cutting the price to 266 for the Q6600. But it might be the next price cut.Newegg's price difference is $308 USD for E6600 and $835 USD for Q6600. That's over a $500 difference. Where are you getting it for only $50 more?????
