Setting up a Lan game

Hi everybody,

I am trying to start a small lan party to play counterstrike between me and my brother at home. We have 1 desktop and 1 wireless laptop and a Dl-524 dlink wireless router. The router is connected and both computers can surf the internet just fine. How do i make a lan or something so that we can play CS? i am soo clueless!

Both computers have WInXP and we have a CS cd

Help!
 
I used to play CS on the school computers and there used to be hundreds of students connecting. Just get one computer to be the server and the other just join. There should be an option in LAN games to create a server, and then the other computer just navigate to join. Its that simple.
 
In Counterstrike: Condition zero it's very easy to setup lan games all you need to know is the ip address of the person you are trying to join.

To find out your ip address go to start>run>cmd when the screen appears type: ipconfig

When you load up Counterstrike to the main menu press the "~" and type connect and then the computers ip address. for example:

connect 198.209.0.101
