So warhammer games, who likes em?

lately iv become really obssessed with warhammer games :D so i thought id start a thread for discussion :D

what does everyone else think of them?

any one looking forward to the space maring game coming out

and does any one have any news on the dark millenium game thats been rumoured?

(if any one could help as well in DoW2 and chaos rising i keep getting a black screen that lasts for a ocuple of seconds in the campaign, are there any known fixes?)

also who actually plays DoW 2 here?
 
well im a warhammer nerd :D the wargames and the video games and yeah they are awesome. I love dawn of war 1 and the expansions they are brilliant, dawn of war 2 is alright but i prefer the old ones, but i havent got retribution yet. Ive tried mark of chaos it wasnt bad when i played the demo, warhammer online is crap which is a shame but dark millenium does look awesome!
 
i used to be one for the tabletop, had tyranids and wood elves :D, about 1000+ of each

sold em years ago, wish i still had them now with my current obssession ahah, seriously thinking about reinvesting in some just to paint :P

i actually prefer DoW2, i think it might be the pretty lighting :P and the wargear collecting

iv seen the graphics for warhammer online and it looked like someone had made a cartoon runescape :P

iv not heard anything from dark millenium in a while hope its out soon

out of curiosity what tabletop armies do you have?
 
i like the base building and massive armies in DoW1 :) i have Eldar and gunna getsome dark elves this week when i get paid :P probably got about 1500 of eldar maybe more, i should get some more :D its great you should start again who give sa **** if its nerdy its damn fun
 
too right, i prefered the painting to the atcual playing, plus i used to get owned all over with my nids :/

im gonna invest in some when i can afford it :D, dunno wether to get nids again though :p

i do prefer the bigger armies in DoW1 but the resource collecting was a pain in the arse, i must say though iv bought DoW1 and expansions twice lol sold my first set then missed em.

you play or just collect?

thats the reason i gave up i think, the stigma that goes with warhammer :P

yeah i play, im crap at painting though, once i get paid this week im getting a load of dark elves ill probably spend quite a lot :p
 
lol seems like a good idea, i painted my nids crap but once i got my wood elves they were pretty good.

the guys in the shops are really helpful with showing you what to do :P
 
yeah its just experience realy im getting the hang of it but its annoying when your hand starts shaking while you're painting ha

not sure about the table top stuff purly down to never playing with them, however I am a massive DOW 40K fan, at the moment I play a lot of WHR, anyone who wants to have a few games feel free to add me on Steam.

iv added ya but iv still not got retribution, i did buy chaos rising though because it was cheap :P, will get retribution soon, im too obssessed not too now :/

bloody warhammer games iv got most of the recent ones and i still want more
