Not if you get the right stuff, and install it right. Pc's are very reliable, my old pc from dell is 10 years old and i havent had one problem, not one crash, overheat, lock-up, it worked fine. But it was expensive when i got it. Still, average pc's and even low end pc's are incredibly reliable.

but thats the problem, because of the big variety of hardware. its very hard to do it really right ;)
and thats the big plus on apples and consoles, the hardware is really good matched :)

Everyone I know with an Xbox 360 is having at least one major problem with it. Things like, when you press the power button, nothing happens sometimes. They also say it crashes a lot.

I saw something on TV today where they mentioned about the problem Xbox is now having. I did not really catch it all though as I did not pay very close attention.

I also understand that they are taking a hit on the price as it cost more to build an X-box 360 then they are selling them for? If so then I bet Microsoft are kicking themselves right now with all those returns they must be getting and or will be.

lol, i do find that quite funny but its not really fair to be saying things about people behind their backs.
i think its more of a case of trying to rip someone else off, these are going for stupid prices on ebay and he's just gonna try and get some action for himself. however, he's gotta state that there's a problem with it if he does sell cos he'll get done for false advertising. who wants to pays vast amounts of money for something that doesn't work?

I've said it to his face enough that ocne behide his back wont matter lol.

Overheating Solution

A rather busy XBox 360 owner has figured out a way proud owners of Microsoft's console can avoid the embarrassment and delay involved in contacting tech support for their console. In a post in the Gamespot forums, the user claims the solution should work for all consoles facing overheating problems. The solution is neither elegant nor conclusive but seems to have done the trick for quite a few X360 owners troubled by overheating related freezes.

According to Goldeneyemaster then, the problem is not the XBox console itself but the brick-like power supply. Since, by design, a large flat surface of the unit lies on the floor, the PSU tends to overheat causing the entire console to freeze. The current solution is to find a box slightly larger than the unit and to remove the cover, balancing the unit on the box edges. This way the edges of the box will provide support for the PSU while allowing all of its large surfaces to remain well ventilated. The idea is to keep as large a surface area of the PSU as possible in contact with the surrounding air, if you can accomplish this in any other way that should also work.

This solution is not risky unless the box you decide to use is not strong enough to take the wait of the power supply. If you are in any way uncertain about how to achieve this please do not try it and contact Microsoft tech support.

I dont really care what u say bout xbox or xbox 360.Yes it was a bit early they made the console in a rush, yes without proper planning but my cousin has one and nothing has happened yet.And yes theres 2 model becoz if u dont have the means to afford the one pricier then u get the one without HardDisk.Personally i hate Sony i hate anything to do with sony that includes the PS1,2 and 3.

Why even bother commenting on what others said way back in 2005? It is kind of pointless now.
