Im a first time builder, just got a new mother board, can somebody please explain to me this specificaton(P4P800SE ASUS) THANKS

ICH5R South Bridge:
-2 x UltraDMA 100/66/33
-2 x Serial ATA, RAID 0,1 function​

 

[Praetor]

- ICH5R = name of the chipset
- 2xUDMA 100/66/33 = there are two sockets for PATA (oldschool IDE) connectors for a total of four devices
- 2xSerial ATA = two SATA connectors for the newer SATA drives (the equivalent of UDMA150)
- RAID0,1 = the SATA drives can be RAIDed together for either speed ("1") or redundancy ("0")
