Steam Problem

Sooo i was just dinking around on the internet and decided to play some CS:S. Opened it up, and it said steam was updating, so i let it do its thing but nothing really downloads or updates, asks for password, put it in and hit okay. Then CS:S loads... and freezes... Reboot X 2, change some internet/firewall settings and still nothing. Anybody else having a problem with Steam and CS:S? The new update F everyting up or what?

not haveing ur problem but i can't even get on steam it say steam is temporary unavailable

No problem for me, CSS and Steam work fine.

quit steam via log out then log back in

usual works for me but then ive not had this problem

So apparently ZoneAlarm was totally fugging it up. Everytime it would load, the screen would freeze, as if ZoneAlarm wants to bring up a window asking for permission for internet, but it wouldnt alt+tab. Anyways, i just disabled it, and it works fine again. Ill have to dink with settings to allow HL2 to work, thought i did, maybe i reset something to defaults. OH wells, thanks anyways.

Happened to me yesterday, Downloaded update, tried to play. No internet. Freezed Up. and I restarted and ready play.
