Steam question

I want to reinstall windows but I don't want to re-download all of my games again through steam. Can I just create a partition and then copy the steam folder over and then just re-install steam afterward? Or am I SOL? Thanks.

Yup. Just have to copy the steamapps folder.
I've also been told its good to verify game cache after you reinstall.
