Ok, so I have an Acer Aspire 7741g-3647. It has an i5 450m, ATI 5650 1gb video card, and 4gb DDR3. It's brand new. Had to replace a HP that I returned within one month. The HP had almost the same specs, but the display light failed, lol. ANYWAY, important part. I used Steam, and bought Team Fortress 2, with my new laptop, I've been playing it, but every couple minutes the game freezes for about 1 or 2 seconds, then continues. This happens over and over again. Regular gameplay is fine, no frame rate loss, but every few minutes, freeze, continue, repeat.
Wondering if it was the game, I tried WoW, same thing happened, wasn't even in an intense part. Connection? Someone told me I'm likely overheating. My laptop is on a laptop fan, that is raised and blowing a good deal of air. I used Speccy (by piriform) with the games running in the background and my temp was like 48*. Right now it's ~40*
Ideas? This is frustrating, I don't want to have to return this. BTW, I updated my graphics card, no idea what else to do.
